Committees

The CJFE administers its programs and advocacy through several board-directed committees that monitor issues relevant to free expression, identify areas for action, develop strategic priorities and oversee programs.

Canadian Issues

The Canadian Issues Committee actively monitors policy, legal and other developments across the country, in real time, to address matters that pose or may pose a threat to free expression and the interests of journalists and our independent media in all forms.

We also support foreign journalists who find themselves in danger, offering advice, advocacy and emergency financial aid through our Journalists in Distress Fund.
